1000 days. i don’t know if i made that choice or if it was the default. that seems like a long time back

when talking time. some tracks i don’t have that much data but some i do. by my guesstimation the sheet

It only needs to go back as far as the data you are using to handicap. So if you are using 50 days as the max on your columns, you only need 50 days for variants

  • evening guys, this goes along with Pups new method using the break as a factor. been tracking PB

using the av calc, since last sun there have been 75 races run over the 545 course. i did not include

the fri or sat night performances. so this is avg break, PB 545 with the sun up.

    1 3.4
    2 4.3
    3 4.2
    4 4.3
    5 4.5

Thats an very interesting concept you are studying there but I’m not sure I can add much to it as I’ve never looked into it at all. It doesn’t seem like the box break os following the box win% at all which is interesting. But then again you only have a couple weeks of data which I should warn you, for most things thats not much to go on at all.…[Read more]

  • i have re posted the attachment under AV CALC. it calculates averages. been a little

under the weather, count me confused also. did we ever talk about box break bias and the

possibility of using an adj factor like with wps on the sheet? thats what i was looking for

    thanks win

    • Pup replied 10 years ago

Oh I gotcha now. You are looking into box break bias in terms of the sheet. I never considered it and its something I have never looked into. I’m looking forward to seeing what your early tests come up with!

  • morning guys, for your amusement here is an average calculator. compute the average of anything.

data in the fields is for the break at PB 545 course. for this week.

  • morning guys, welcome nom! Pup help me out here, i think this thread needs moved.(at least my part) this is about using the

break and if there is any box bias for the break that we could exploit with a box break adj. welcome again nom! i hope

  • hey guys, the box break bias thing. can’t find the info , still looking. did make a sheet to track the

break of each box. all grades, only 550 races. at PB. the results came from the charts on the PBKC

website. this covers 3/22 to 3/24. not even 30 races. the math checks out, i think everyone will be able

    to figure it out.

win of to WD on…[Read more]

box brk bias. finding the avg brk for each post position and using it to adj the avg brk stats
