for the record, I did laugh at the beginning.

What % of races played did you win? I was trying to go back thru the month
and see how my top 4 would do. I avg around 35-40% wins.

Another question that comes to mind is if the top pick is an odds on favorite like pup power key the bet structure should probably be different since it would pay less right?

could see you could have left off the bottom 2 dogs and done

Good video. I’m not using columns exactly like that. I’m using an “EighthCls” column which takes
the dog’s Class added to the Last Eighth and sort. One of the top 3 dogs in the winner in about 45%
of the races. If there is a 2-way tie for the 3rd spot I go to speed and/or 1/8 call. If there

Using top 3 (as above):

Winner found 45%
Q found 15%
Tri found 4% (2 of them straight)

Found it very interesting (Arte Johnson impersonation)—Will try to make time & do PB tomorrow.

Looking at the last 10 days @ TS using the above method, the lowest # of wins I found was 4, highest was 10 (out of 16 races).

Thanks for the input max and iiicream. I had a few days in a hospital room last week so I ran a lot of races and different tracks. As with anything else your mileage will vary by track. I ran a few races at BM was about 60% I am going to check out more, about 200 should do.

I easily built 2 columns for QD that helps look at the data. One column was LastEighth, just the last 1/8 call for the dog. The other column was LastGrade, the last grade the dog was in based on a 1-6 scale. Over the years I’d say I’ve probably broke even if you average them all out. But there is no greater feeling than winning a bet you thought was completely lost!

That has happened to me quite a few times, sometimes to my benefit other times against me. I guess if you play long enough you make a lot of mistakes. You just hope that the ones that go your way make up for the other ones.
